I heart Mags

From where I live, boutiques and shopping centers are quite limited.  So I often do my shopping in Cagayan de Oro City (it takes us around 1.5 hours to get there), where my favorite store is located.

I love Mags :)

Here is what I recently bought..

There were two colors (black and gold) to choose from and I chose this pair!  Aren't they lovely??

I usually shop with my Mom and since she's not around, I kinda have less appetite for shopping.

I just can't wait for their homecoming..2 more months :)

Shaw at 18

My family was invited to my cousin's 18th birthday and since my Mom, Lola and Tita are in the States, my brothers, sister-in-law, nephew and I were the representatives.

I guess the hardest thing about gaining weight is having no clothes that fit.  That was my problem.  All my dresses did not fit well.  I did not have time to shop so I opted to buy online but there was no dress for my size. :( I was a bit desperate.  So I rummaged through my closet and found a black chiffon dress.  I had it repaired (I got rid of the sleeves) then I made a belt (I did it by hand..Ugh!)

Here's a glimpse of the event :)

One for the road..:)

The party was great.  Well, I did not have a grand debut myself and I appreciated how my cousin was welcomed to the world of the adults.  I almost cried during the first dance--it was truly a meaningful Dad-daughter moment (*sniff*).

It was one enchanted evening...

We welcome the newest lady in our midst..Cheers!

No Pain, No Gain.

I don't have the perfect skin.  Growing up, I was very prone to pimples and other blemishes.  My self-confidence was low and I hard a time socializing but I didn't care.  Hey, I accepted myself  or maybe I was just convincing myself...

Before, I used make-up to conceal my flaws but it only made the situation worse.  My system was all messed up and I had extreme breakouts.  The hardest part was that people started noticing.  It was heartbreaking for I was helpless.  I could control my body.

Later on, I started finding solutions to my problems.  I went to a dermatologist and it didn't help me much.  I was still battling with my hormones and its effects.  I was still the same--happy but a bit self-conscious.  Then I came across a beauty clinic and I tried their services and their products.  So far, so good...

Every month, my Mom and I go through facial treatment (diamond peeling).  Yes, we go through hell regularly (the pricking HURTS!!!).  Oh well, no pain, no gain, right?

Yesterday, I went to the clinic to have my face cleaned again.  It was my first time to go without Mom (Uwi ka na Mommy...) and I took pics when the therapist was away..:)

I look like a siopao!:)

Pillsbury doughboy?
I realized that accepting yourself does not mean not caring.  Sometimes, we do need help.  I am glad that I have acknowledged that fact and I did something.

Terimah Kasih Malaysia!

I am still making use of old pictures but I promise to update my blog soon. :)

DAYS 3 & 4 of our trip was spent in Malaysia..So now I am sharing my experience in this great place.

Here are some pictures..Enjoy!

This is where we stayed..definitely worth every ringgit :)

The Petronas Towers was breathtaking

Our trip in Malaysia was very short. We arrived at 3pm then we immediately strolled around KL.  We almost missed the Petronas Towers too since some of Mom's friends were tired but I did not want to leave without seeing it so I fought for its beauty. My effort paid off.

The next day, we did a little shopping for the people we left behind in the Philippines.  We went to China town.  I had a funny experience there.  One vendor mistakenly identified me as a constant buyer so she gave me a discount.  Well, I just smiled.  It was just one shirt though--it was for my Dad.

Hmmm..I want to go back to Malaysia because I didn't see much.  Malaysia's tourism commercial just gives me the butterflies in my stomach.  It's unexplainable though.

Anyway, my 5-day trip with my Mom and her friends was a blast!  The best thing about it was the time I had with my Mom..:)

Xie Xie Singapura!

OMG!I have neglected my blog!!

I've been busy these past few days..our house was renovated and I haven't finished fixing our room (Mom and I share a room now since Dad passed away).  I am also busy writing articles for my older brother. Well, I need to  make a little money..:)

I've been locked inside the house so I have nothing to post that would excite you, readers. I'll just make use of old pics for now.

My Mom, her officemates and I went on a trip last January 2011.  The original plan was to only tour around Singapore but we ended up going to Malaysia as well (next post)..:)

Here are just some of the pictures (I took a lot..LOL..)

Arrival :)  When I travel, I choose comfortable clothes for me to be always good to go.  That's how Mom is too. :)

Marina Bay Sands--LOVELY!
Singapore Flyer

It was time to go..:(

The time flew so fast..I was not even close to satisfaction but hey, there still is a lot of time.

I learned something during this trip--PLAN!PLAN!PLAN!We weren't able to manage our time well.  We missed some spots in Singapore and I was a bit frustrated.

DAYS 3 & 4 were spent in Malaysia. The road trip from Singapore to Malaysia took us more than 8 hours! We could have done a lot in those hours. Ugh!

I will surely go back to Singapore and spend my time to the fullest.*wink wink*

I'll start planning..NOW!!Who wants to come?LOL.
